Hill-Burton
is a program of federally obligated health care facilities (hospitals, nursing homes, etc.) that have agreed to provide a reasonable volume of services for free or reduced cost. Patients must apply at the admissions or business office of an obligated facility and meet income criteria to be eligible for benefits. Only facility costs are covered; private doctors' bills, prescription costs, and co-pays may be the responsibility of the patient.
