Imerman Angels
provides one-on-one support to cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers in the United States and internationally. Those seeking support are matched with someone with a similar background, either as a patient or caregiver. Matches are based on type of cancer, age, and gender. Volunteers lend support and empathy while helping patients and caregivers navigate the system, determine their options, and create their own support system. Mentors and mentees communicate in whatever way they choose; examples include connecting by telephone, email, video chat, and face-to-face.
